Relocating from San Diego, California to Cabot. Arkansas has been quite the adjustment. The transition from being a well-known wedding photographer in Southern California to a place where no one knows my name, has been a bit challenging. There have been many times I have missed doing what I love, and that is telling love stories.
So when I had the opportunity to capture a beautiful engagement session in downtown Tulsa. To say I was excited was an understatement. The city provided a stunning backdrop for this couple’s engagement session. It was the perfect mix of urban and romantic vibe. The city reminded me a bit of home.
As we walked around the city, I was able to capture candid moments between the couple. Kendyl and Gabe’s love and excitement for each other were evident in every shot. The natural lighting in the city created a soft and romantic feel to the photos.
One of my favorite shots from the session was them running across the street. The photo is out of focus, but it is a reminder, that life isn’t always perfect, but it is beautiful. The couple looked so happy and in love, it was truly a special moment to capture.
I would have to say, that this engagement session was a success, and I honestly can’t wait to share my creativity with future couples. It’s always a honor to be able to capture this special time in couples lives. Being a wedding photographer has its challenges, but moments like these make it all worth it.
