As a Redlands maternity photographer, I have the honor of documenting some of the most meaningful seasons in a woman’s life. This beautiful maternity session in Redlands, California was filled with excitement, love, and the quiet anticipation that comes with preparing to welcome a new baby.
This session was especially close to my heart because the couple you see here are dear friends of mine. When my best friend shared that they had decided to start a family, I could not have been more excited for them. Being able to document the very beginning of this chapter felt incredibly meaningful, not just as a photographer, but as someone who loves them deeply.
Pregnancy announcements carry a special kind of energy. There is joy, anticipation, and a sense that life is about to change in the most beautiful way. These early moments of pregnancy are so fleeting, and capturing them allows families to hold onto the emotions of this season before everything shifts.
Redlands Maternity Photographer Capturing a Beautiful Pregnancy Announcement
For this maternity session they wanted something natural and relaxed. No pressure. No complicated posing. Just connection.
We chose an open field in Redlands, California where the evening light could really shine. Golden hour in Southern California has a softness that photographs beautifully. The warm light wrapped around them as they walked together, laughed, and shared quiet moments between the excitement of knowing their lives are about to grow.
As a Redlands maternity photographer, these are the moments I love capturing most. The small gestures. The quiet smiles. The way expecting parents look at each other when they realize everything is about to change.
Maternity photography should feel easy. It should feel like time spent together rather than time spent posing. The goal is always to create space for connection so the photographs reflect the genuine emotions of this season.

Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do. Photography is not just about creating beautiful images. It is about preserving a moment in time before life moves forward into its next chapter.
