Karter and Thomas Wedding at BRICK in San Diego

Karter and Thomas celebrated their wedding at BRICK in San Diego with a day that felt warm, emotional, creative, and full of life. BRICK is known for its red brick walls, high ceilings, and the kind of open layout that allows couples to bring their vision to life. It was the perfect setting for a celebration where everything could happen in one place and where the energy could stay high from morning to night. Karter and Thomas wanted a day filled with laughter, movement, love, and every important person in their lives gathered in one room. Their wedding was exactly that.

A Love Story Written in a Song

Their love story feels like something out of a romantic film. Karter and Thomas met during a singer songwriter competition where they both performed. Karter wrote an original song about “the love of my life that I had yet to meet.” That performance completely captured the room. While Thomas listened from the audience, he joked with his friend that Karter was singing about him. He had no idea how right he would be.

On the winner’s night when they both performed again, Thomas asked for Karter’s phone number. Everything began from that single moment and eventually led to this beautiful wedding.

Their first dance was to that same original song. Hearing Karter’s voice fill the room while Thomas held her close created a moment that everyone felt. It was emotional, tender, and unforgettable.

Getting Ready and the Sweetest Details

The morning started at a peach toned San Diego home where Karter slipped into her long sleeve gown with the help of her bridesmaids. Her bouquet was full of joyful, vibrant color that matched her personality perfectly. Every detail felt intentional and true to who they are.

Karter had a corsage made for her grandmother so she could feel honored and included. They also made sure cookies were served, since cookies are Karter’s favorite dessert. These small touches reflected their love for family and the way they always think of others.

The Ceremony at BRICK

BRICK was transformed into a warm and inviting ceremony space filled with florals and soft draping from the ceiling. Guests filled the room with laughter and conversation before taking their seats. When Karter walked down the aisle, Thomas’s expression said everything. This was the moment he had been waiting for.

Their ceremony was heartfelt and joyful. When they were pronounced married, the entire room erupted into applause. They lifted their hands in celebration as they walked back up the aisle surrounded by cheers and love from every direction.

A Couple Who Feels Like Home

Karter and Thomas describe themselves as goofy, fun, spontaneous, and deeply connected. They are best friends first. They work out together, try new restaurants, play co op video games, enjoy old love songs, go on long coffee mornings, and can talk about anything for hours. That sense of comfort and friendship shows in every photo.

Karter has a little more worry in her nature and Thomas brings the calm. Together they balance each other in the sweetest way. They match in height, which makes portraits easy and natural. Friends describe them as the funny couple and, as they admit, Karter is the funnier one.

Families Full of Love

Both families are close, supportive, and full of joy. There were no strained relationships or tensions to navigate which made the day that much more peaceful. Everyone showed up ready to celebrate and show love for these two.

Karter sat at a sweetheart table with Thomas during the reception so they could share a few quiet moments away from the movement of the day. Later she shared a dance with her mom and the “movie group,” her group of high school friends, made sure the dance floor stayed full.

The Reception and a First Dance That Meant Everything

The reception was full of energy from start to finish. Guests filled the dance floor, drinks were flowing, and the night felt alive.

The moment everyone remembered most was the first dance. Karter performed the original song she wrote on the night she met Thomas. Hearing the music that first connected them, and watching Thomas pull her close while she sang, was powerful. It felt like the entire room understood the truth of their story in that moment.

Portraits with Warmth and Color

We spent time taking portraits around Liberty Station where soft light, warm peach walls, greenery, and their playful energy came together beautifully. They were completely themselves, laughing, hugging, and soaking in every moment. Their portraits capture exactly who they are as a couple.

A Wedding That Felt True to Them

Karter and Thomas created a wedding that reflected their personalities, their story, and the love they share. From the way their families embraced each other, to the joy on the dance floor, to the song that brought them together, every part of this day felt meaningful and full of heart.

Their wedding at BRICK in San Diego was warm, emotional, colorful, and filled with the kind of love that feels steady and real. It is a day they will remember forever.
